Our Little Imitator!

This is from 8/29/06, but wasn't posted then because our phone lines were down.

Torsten says many cute things that are obviously imitations of what he hears me say. Today we went to the preschool playgroup here and he was “cooking” on a play stove. I overheard him say “I cooking chai (Kenyan tea). Uh-o, chai boiling over.” Due to the difficulty in regulating the temperature on my Kenyan stove, he has heard that a number of times. I put the kids down for a nap today and was at their door when Torsten smiled at me and said “Night night kids.” He enjoys bossing his little sister, although he is sweet about it: “Torrie, you no have these books, these my books, okay.”

Torrie is just pure sweetness. She loves to smile, laugh, and growl. She isn’t crawling yet, so she really can’t get into trouble. Sometimes I wish she could stay this size, because she is so cute and sweet. We got an exersaucer for her today that we borrowed from another family here. She will have a lot of fun with that.
