Torrie loves playing dress up

Baby Kammie likes to sleep with her arms up.
She sleeps in this sleep sack to keep her warm at night.
Things seem to be getting more normal around here. We were able to take Kammie to the U.S. embassy in Nairobi to apply for her passport this week. It took about 3 months to get her birth certificate, so we weren't able to apply until now. Everything seemed pretty normal in the area of Nairobi we were in. However, the following day, the police had to close all businesses in the central business district, due to demonstrations by the opposition party. There is still some violence going on in other cities here as well, but on a much smaller scale than before. More mediation talks are scheduled this week, to see if a peaceful resolution can be agreed on.
The RVA boarding students arrived yesterday without any problems as far as we're aware. Classes are scheduled to begin again on Monday. This will be a somewhat unusual term since it is starting 3 weeks late. The teachers are all trying to fit 12 weeks of material into 9 weeks of instruction. Thor is looking forward to school starting again.
