Contrasting eaters
It has been interesting to observe the different eating patterns of our two kids. Torrie eats about 3-4 times as much as Torsten (or more!) on a typical day. She eats large quantities of food at every meal, especially if it is something she likes. She likes spicy foods like curry and chili. She also loves desserts, like pies and cakes. Torsten, on the other hand, eats like a little bird. He prefers his food very plain and bland and would much rather have plain rice than have any sauce or gravy on it. Bread and milk are the staples of his diet. He actually doesn't care much for sweets and desserts, except for ice cream. It's a challenge to get him to eat fruits and vegetables at all. I'm not sure where he gets his energy from, because it seems like he hardly eats anything at many meals. He must just be at a phase where his growth is slowing down, and he doesn't need as many calories.
