Torsten Turns Three!

We celebrated Torsten's 3rd birthday yesterday! It's hard to believe our baby boy is already three. He's growing up quickly. He's old enough to really understand what a birthday is now, and he has been asking for the last several weeks when his birthday would be. He was one excited little guy when the day finally came. We had the Morrison family over for dinner for his party. I made him a dump truck cake. He helped me bake and decorate it, and we both had fun making it. When it was done he said "Wow Mommy, that looks nice!" The back of the truck was iced with chocolate whipped cream and topped with crushed oreo's for dirt. I've had trouble getting whipped cream to come out right since we've been here, but fortunately this time it whipped just right.

We sang "Happy Birthday" to him several times throughout the day. He loved singing along and actually did a great job of carrying a tune. He got a dump truck and a doctor set for his presents from us, which he has had fun playing with today.
