Little Lambs

Torrie and I recently went with a group of students to a local center for orphan children called "Little Lambs". It was started several years ago by some of the staff of our school and is a day program for children who are orphans or destitute. The children live with relatives or friends, but come to the center during the day, where they are given a good meal and the little ones attend preschool classes. They have 60 children at this location. The children just loved Torrie, and she had a group of kids surrounding her for the entire time we were there (about 4 hours). We went there just to spend time with the children and play with them, as many of them don't get a lot of love and attention at home. Torrie was a very good sport and seemed to enjoy all of the attention she got.
Each term, our school has a field day for the elementary students on a Saturday. This term it was a water field day (since it's summer here), which was held this past Saturday. Torsten had a blast participating in all of the water games they had. Thor volunteered for the dunking booth and got very drenched. They made a waterslide by placing pieces of plastic on one of the hills here and running a hose of water down from the top. The kids loved it. Torsten went down the waterslide once with Thor. He seemed to like it, but didn't want to go again. The hill was pretty high and steep and was a little scary for the small children.
