Multicultural Day

One of the annual events held here is multicultural day. It is an interesting and fun day where the students dress up in their national dress and do a program with songs and other presentations representing the various countries that the students are from. There is also a flag ceremony where the flags of each country are presented. One of the amazing things about this school is how many different nationalities are represented among the students and staff. It is also the day that the school cafeteria serves the best meal of the year for everyone. We had ribs this year. It's funny that I would usually never eat ribs in the States, but I actually really enjoyed them here. It's probably because the food we eat here tends to be very repetitive, so some variety is nice. There were fireworks in the evening, which the kids loved. I don't think any of them remember ever seeing fireworks before, so they were very impressed. Even Kammie enjoyed them.
