Glad to be well again!

We've had an interesting week of sickness here. Last Friday, I was feeling fine until around 8 in the evening, when I began having terrible, uncontrollable chills. Shortly after, I developed high fever and aches all over. I assumed it was a flu type virus. However, I also began having severe pain in my chest, coughing, and shortness of breath. Because I was pregnant with these symptoms, I went to the hospital here to get checked out and turned out to have pneumonia. I was quite surprised, but yet I knew something like that had to be wrong because of how bad I felt. I don't think I've ever been this sick before. For about 5 days I had severe pain anytime I would sit or lay down, cough, or breathe deeply. So, I slept sitting up for a few days, because laying down was just too uncomfortable. I started antibiotics last weekend, and I'm much better now. I'm still coughing and still weaker than normal, but feel great compared to how I was. I'm very glad to be able to lay down to sleep at night again.

During all this, Torsten came down with an ear infection also, so he's on antibiotics too. This is the first time he's been sick where he's been able to tell us what was wrong and where his pain was, so that was helpful. Torrie also started running fever, apparently from a virus, and was quite fussy for a few days. She and Torsten are doing much better now also. Thankfully, Thor stayed well during all this, so he could help take care of the rest of us.
