Thor's trip
One of the traditions here is that the 11th and 12th grade students get to go on a one week educational trip at the end of their second term. They go to various locations in groups of about 8-10 students each. Thor went along as one of the leaders on an aviation trip up to north Kenya. They flew from Nairobi up to northern Kenya and spent several days in the Lake Turkana area and several days in Kurungu. They also did some day flying trips to some other mission stations. Thor really enjoyed it, even though it was incredibly hot - up to 120 degrees during the day and not much cooler at night.
All went relatively well here while he was gone. I remember the last time Thor left us and went on a trip all of our appliances broke, so I was glad that nothing like that happened this time. Kammie did run away to where I truly couldn't find her. She runs away a lot, but usually can be found on the road in front of our house, or in the basketball court behind our house. However, this time I looked in all of her usual places, as well as drove around the entire campus and still couldn't find her. I was starting to feel a little nervous, when I noticed a little girl running towards our car. She said that Kammie had been found by one of the Kenyan workers, who brought her to their house. It was a significant distance from where we live, and I was amazed that she had wandered that far in such a short time. We were all happy to have found her!
The school term is now over, so things are a little less hectic. Of course, I continue to work the same amount whether school is in session or not, but at least Thor has some down time. We are leaving tomorrow to spend a week at the coast, which we are really looking forward to.

Oh Sharon! You are either the master of the understatement (a little nervous?!?) or the calmest person I know. Either way, I'm glad she showed up!
Sounds like Kammie is a girl after your own heart. You ran away at her age a time or two as well!
