Independence Day

We celebrated the 4th of July here with a number of the other American missionary families here with a cookout and picnic. The only fireworks that could be done were sparklers, but Torsten had a lot of fun with those. It seemed strange to have very chilly weather for July 4th, as it's usually very hot this time of year in Louisiana.

We had a lot of sickness in our family during the month of June and are glad that we're all well again now.

The kids keep growing up and changing. They both like to imitate us a lot. Torsten was unsuccessfully trying to get my attention the other day, so he decided to start saying what he hears his Daddy say. He said "Sweetheart, I need you", several times. It worked. Torrie heard Thor calling me "Sharon" several times and decided that would be her new word for the day. She started saying "Shawin, Shawin". I'm not sure if she even knew it was my name, but she thought she was really big because she could say it. They're both really cute right now.
