A Busy Week

Our kids love mud!

We have had a busy week here. Thor was gone for a week to go hunting in Namibia. He returned on Wednesday, with 50 pounds of meat from the Gemsbok and Kudu that he shot. We are happy to have him back again. While he was away, our refrigerator was out for 24 hours, our chest freezer stopped working, our clothes dryer stopped working, and our vacuum cleaner stopped working. Fortunately the refrigerator and freezer weren't out at the same time, so I managed to keep things cold between the two of them. I was able to fix the vacuum cleaner, and we've had some sunny days, so we could hang the laundry outside to dry. (When the sun doesn't shine it takes days and days for clothes to dry outside). On top of all of that, both kids got sick with fever while Thor was away, from what apparently was a virus. They both improved after several days.

The kids missed their Daddy while he was away. When Torsten was reminded of him by something, he would say "I really miss Daddy". Every time Torrie would go down for a nap or for bed at night, she would ask "Daddy, Daddy?", because she wanted her hug and kiss from Daddy that she is used to getting. Thor brought her back a little stuffed Gemsbok that she just loves. She carries him around everywhere, sleeps with him, and gives him lots of kisses.
